1. What is the purpose of Turkey Mountain? Do you think that Turkey Mountain serves that intended purpose?

• It serves its purpose definitely
• Its a great place to enjoy the outdoors without traveling very far
• great clean outdoors place
• events for bike racers, activities for dogs, etc. Serves its purpose very well & the only decent hiking trail in the entire area (have to drive 30mi to hike otherwise)
• Urban wilderness for hikers, mtn bikers, families, horseback riders, and yes
• for green space/recreation and serves it serves its purpose very well
• couple who visited for the first time will definitely come back
• “gem of wilderness right in the middle of the city”

3. What is your favorite area of Turkey Mountain and why? How do you use this area?

• The trails, biking and running
• The trails (yellow and blue), hiking
• The bike trails
• walk the dog, use the yellow and red trail.
• all of it, mtn bike

• rocks that overlook the city
• lollipop trail and mochi man (easier trails)
• down on lochi
• westernmost trails - b/c not many people

4. If you could add anything (recreation opportunities) or expand existing recreation opportunities to Turkey Mountain, what would you add?

• would like more space
• more trails
• zipline
• campground
• upper parking lot
• more space
• handicap accessible trail
• some areas could use new recreational areas but leaving the areas is what people come out for
• more fishermen & wanted to be near parking. money to be made

5. What is the biggest threat to Turkey Mountain? Are you in favor of the proposed outlet mall on Highway 75 and 61st?

• The mall, they should relocate it away from Turkey Mtn
• The mall, couldn’t care less as long as they don’t affect the trails
• The mall/shopping center, opposed.
• Privately owned so not much of a threat, the outlet mall needs to go somewhere else
